The founded truck fleet ¹ 41 responsible for goods transportation received first buses. Passenger traffic was organised. Bus route ¹1 carried citizens from the Kryukovo station to the automobile plant.

Under the decree of the CPSU Central Committee and the Council of Ministers of the USSR a special design bureau of high-intensity sources of light (SDB HISL) was organized to become future “Zenit” Research Institute.

Microelectronics Center organized
Microelectronics Center was established under the decree of the CPSU Central Committee and the Council of Ministers of the USSR. It includes the Research Institute of Microelectronics Theoretical Base, a future Research Institute of Physical Issues;  Research Institute of Microcircuitry with pilot factory, a future Research Institute of Microdevices; the Research Institute of Microelectronics Technology, a future Research Institute of Precision Engineering; the Research Institute of Mechanic Engineering with pilot factory, a future Research Institute of Precision Mechanic Engineering; and the Research Institute of special materials with pilot factory, a future Research Institute of Material Sciences.

The General plan of Zelenograd development was adjusted

The city under construction was subordinate to the State Committee on Electronic Engineering. One of the development priorities was the establishment of «Science center» specializing in microelectronics. The General plan of Zelenograd development was adjusted, the building of multistorey living houses and interprises of electronic industry was begun.

The first ATS (automatic telephone station) of Moscow telephone network was put into exploitation in the 3rd microdistrict.

F. Lukin was appointed Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Electronic Technology of the USSR and Director of the Microelectronics Center
Professor F. Lukin, a director of the Research Institute 37 of the State Commission for Power Regulation (the Research Institute of the long-range radio communication) and a Doctor of Engineering Science, was appointed deputy chairman of the State Committee for Electronic Technology of the USSR and director of the Microelectronics Center.

Research Institute of Precision Engineering formed
The State Committee for Electronic Technology issued the order on the construction of the Research Institute 336, a future Research Institute of Precision Engineering (RIPE). V. Sergeev was appointed director of the Research Institute of Precision Engineering.
