The first Russian electronic microcalculator «Elektronika VZ-4» was produced

Microelectronic enterprises tested and implemented native technology of large-scale integrated circuits production. On the basis of these circuits Scientific Research Instititute of Precise Technology with plant «Angstrem» produced first Russian electronic microcalculator «Elektronika VZ-4».

The Monument to the Defenders of Moscow was erected

At the 40th km of the Leningrad roadway, close to Zelenograd, there was erected the Monument to the Defenders of Moscow. The Monument consists of crossed bayonets put at the kurgan (burial mount). The obelisk height is 42 meters.

1976 year - 1979 year
Development and production of original large-scale integration microprocessor of CMOS technology (Ê-587)
Original large-scale integration microprocessor of CMOS technology (Ê-587) was developed and produced (Ê-587) using technological base of Scientific Research Institute of Precise Technology with the plant «Angstrem». Set of large-scale integration circuits (LSI) became the basis for the range of micro electronic computing machines «Elektronika NC-02», «Elektronika NC-03», «Elektronika NC-04» of general purpose. More than a thousand of such machines were produced at the enterprises of the «Scientific center». On the basis of these machines systems for NC-machinery and switching unit of telegraphic messages «Elektronika NC-32» were created at that time. The mentioned switching units became the basis for upgrading telegraphic communication centers and were installed in more than 90 cities of Russian and the near abroad. In 1978-1979 on the basis of the universal set of large-scale integration K587 there was developed the system for NC-machinery «Elektronika NC-31». Its mass production was organised at the plant «Diffusion» (city of Smolensk). From 1979 to 1991 there were produced about 80 thousand of such systems that were widely used at this country's machine plants for assembling lathe and milling machines.

Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Technology created the first native isoplanar technology as the basis for developments and production of integrated circuits of the future.

Water was delivered to Zelenograd through new water pipe-line from Moscow.

1978 year - 1980 year
Development of large-scale integration sets of microprocessor based on TTL-technology

There were developed sets of large-scale integration of microprocessor of TTL-technology and on their basis Scientific Research Institute «Science Center» developed electronic machine «Elektronika NC-05T». On the ground  of this machine using special construct materials there were produced several electronic computing machines for defence purposes, on-board computing systems for antimissile defense and submarines.

1980 year - 1986 year
Research Center developed and put into serial production conversational computing complexes
Research Center «Science Center» developed and put into serial production conversational computing complexes, school electronic computing machines «UK-NC», multiple-computer complex «Elektronika NC 80-32». The mentioned electronic computing machines and complexes underlay this country's first school computer classrooms established in Zelenograd schools, universal systems of almost all groups of CNC-machines and robototechnics «Elektronika NC 80-31» («Elektroniks MS 2106»). Numerical control unit in different modifications was put into serial production and was produced at plant «Schetmash» (city of Kursk). From 1981 till 1991 there were produced above 1500 sets. System «Elektronika MS 2106» was used in processing centres of then well-known Ivanovsky machine-building union, in processing centres MS-32 and Bulgary-based (city of Sofia) produced machines with double eccentricity developed by Construction department of machine-building in Uzbekistan (city Tashkent). From 1981 to 1991 total production volume of such types of electronic computer machines amounted to more than 500 thousand units.

Microelectronic computing system «Elektronika-NC-80» was developed

The team of developers from Research institute of Precise Technology and plant «Angstrem» with Research Institute «Science Centre» developed for the first time in this country's history single-chip bitter and on its basis microelectronic computing system «Elektronika-NC-80». There was organised serial output of microprocessors and single-board electronic computing systems on which basis there were developed a range of computer equipement, systems and complexes.

The plant "Micron" produced a 100 millionth microcircuit

Plant «Micron» at Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Electronics produced a 100 millionth microcircuit.The output of microprocessor set of TTL-microcircuits with Shottky diodes was begun. Administrative-laboratory building of the Institute and the plant was put into operation.

City enterprise created large memory volume chips, high-performance logic arrays, microprocessors
City enterprise created large memory volume chips, high-performance logic arrays, microprocessors, microcircuits for consumer electronics. Using developed hardware components Research Institute of Precise Technology created native single-board microcomputer «Elektronika NC-01D» (awarded with medals and diplomas of the international Leipzig fare) that became the basis for Automatic Control System, Process Control System of many appliances in national economy, education and medicine. Research Center «Science Center» became the place for development of hardware components for production of various applications computing machinery. There was organised production of microcomputers and interactove computer complexes at plant «Kvant» built for this purposes. There was set up the output of electronic devices for the population: pocket microcalculators, electronic games and electronic watches of different models, tape recorders «Elektronika-301», flashlights and so on. Schools of the country were equipped with computer classrooms.

Research Institute of molecular electronics with plant «Micron» started  production of master-slice logic array of emitter-coupled logic as the basis for very high-perfomance native electronic computer machines «Elbrus» as well as CMOS Rambling Access Memory.

Monument to Alexander Ivanovich Shokin installed
Summer 1984 witnessed the grand opening of the bust to Alexander Ivanovich Shokin, a minister of electronic industry of the USSR, a founder of the All-Soviet Union microelectronics center in Zelenograd, twice-awarded Hero of Socialist Labour (1975, 1979), laureate of the state prize of the USSR (1952, 1953). The ceremony took place in Zelenograd beside the main entrance to MIET university.
